Xela Temple!!

Best Lunch Ever.... All I can eat tacos with picante, and lime..... YUM

Hey Fam, I`d like to start by telling you, it was really weird to see my flight plan set up.... super weird, I`m trying to get it out of my head right now, ha-ha. Anyways, thanks for emailing me, Tanner, your English even corrected by mom is a disaster, but I’m sure mine is about the same. That picture of the roller coaster you sent me, almost scares me... and if you’re the same Tanner I used to know, I can’t see you ever getting on that thing, ha-ha. But like you`ve said things have changed a lot. I sent you a hand written letter a little while back, and so it should be getting there, or should have got there by now. Let me know if it makes it.

Now for an awesome miracle story...

The other day, we arrived early to a cita 15 minutes, so we decided to do some contacting. (always taking advantage of time) I felt the need to walk down a dirt road, and almost let the feeling go by, when I told my comp. to hold up, and said, "let’s go contacting" We felt the need to contact an elderly woman that we found attending to hear cows in a large empty field... She turned out to have no interest at all. As she was rambling on about how she appreciated our service but what no interested, I remembered the words of Elder Duncan (a member of the 70 who came to visit us) who challenged us to ask for references in every visit, and contact. I kindly explained to the sister that we really want to help people change their lives, and that we know they can do so as they listen to our message of the restored gospel, and I asked if she knew anyone who would be willing and would benefit from listening to our message. She started to name off each house on the street.... they`re Catholics... they`re evangelicals.... and they`re also catholic.... then she looked out into the distance to a house covered in a thicket of trees and a wall of tall cactus in the middle of a big field, and said "they don’t have a church, her name is Mirna, why don`t you go visit them."
Later that day we went to visit Mirna and her family of 4 children, (25years, 23, 17, 10). Mirna and two of her children came to our ward activity Friday, and 3 of her children came to church Sunday, today we hope to put a baptismal date with the family. We were blessed for following the council of a general authority and the Spirit. I feel so grateful for the miracles I’m seeing, daily.... I see miracles daily.... Do you guys look for the miracles that surround you daily?? Have you been thanking God every morning and night for everything!?

I Love being a missionary, and just the very thought of leaving, makes me happy to see my family but so sad to leave this all behind... I going to focus myself in these next couple months as much as I can so that the miracles continue to come,

Please read in Alma 37:36-41 to feel as inspired as I do right now. I feel as though I`ve been given a liahona to guide be to those prepared persons who are willing to accept this true restored gospel, what a great feeling it is. And I know I will continually be guided as I keep my faith centered in the lord, and as I stay diligent.

I love you guys; see you soon... but not too soon, ha-ha,

Elder Dalton

Here´s a pic of us and our recent convert fam, h. sandra, christian and selvin, still active, still strong, and still pilas, lessssssss gooooooo;)
9 investigators in church!!!

Wow, if it doesn´t sound like a lot.... it is, haha.

We had the Familia Hidalgo (3) come to church again, it’s their second time, and that means they´re getting that much closer to baptism. And also the Familia of Auri came to church (4). And also Yasmin and her Mom. If everything goes perfectly and if we humble ourselves and call upon the help of the Lord and give Him thanks for all He has given us, believing that He will continue to do so, we could have 7 baptisms at the end of March, it would be such a miracle, and I know it can happen... we´ve just got a lot of work to do ;)
If we keep following the Spirit constantly we will constantly have families to teach. Families that really want to progress and that listen and receive us in their houses.

This past week we had the privilege to go to the Temple as a zone. It was the peace we all needed. Almost the whole zone slept in our house Monday night and we left early Tuesday morning to make it to the 9 o’clock session.

These elders all come from Colotenango, Ixtahuacan, Santa Ana and San Antonio Huistas. All of the aldea areas in our zone.

                                It was my hijo´s first time in the Xela Temple. Elder Amayita.... ;
Every time I take a picture next to elder Amaya, I look like a chubby giant.... Or maybe I am a chubby giant..... hmmmmm ;)

Leaving the Temple, Heading back to Hue Hue!

We rented a yellow microbus, here´s a pic from the bus.... Half way there ;)
SUBWAY!

On the way back I took a few fotos of the Famous Statue of Tecunumán

Also I would like to ask you all a favor if you could all write a small letter to Elder Amaya each week, translated in Spanish so he could understand, he hardly ever receives a letter from his family. ricardo. ricardo.amaya @myldsmail.net
I love this gospel, and I love being a missionary... even when I’m sick with a terrible cold and fever, working hard and following the spirit takes away any pain.
Thanks, have a great week.

Love you all, Elder Dalton
