¡Hola Querida Familia!

¡Hola Querida Familia! Yes this is a pic of roosters and turkeys stuffed in baskets next to me on the bus headed up to Colotnengo...

This week I traveled around the zone to complete baptismal interviews for 2 converts in Colo, and 1 all the way out in Santa Ana Huista. Walking all the way up to Colo.... (now that riding in fletes and outside of microbuses is prohibited) you see mountain sides just full of cafe. It’s the number one plant that grows here. Cafe Cafe Cafe... oh and cafe means coffee if you didn’t already know that.

Eating Lunch with Hermana Lydia, she´s the one on the far right in the blue sweater. She is the only member of her entire Pueblo San Sebastian. And she takes a bus 30 minutes every Sunday to come to church in our ward in Hue Hue.

Getting’ a shoe shine after going to Hermana Lydias Resaurante last p-day. I like to have one kid shine each shoe, that way I can pay them both.

My comp likes to take really awkward selfies..... always the same face, in every selfie.... ;)
At lunch on divisions in Santa Ana Huista.

In San Antonio, with Elder Claros.

I had a Mission Impossible experience with E. Muse about a month ago. Here are some of the sneaky spy pics I took while on the bus.

So, me and elder muse were returning from divisions in las huistas, on the way back we were sitting in the back of the bus next to some tourists and a german man from mexico that spoke spanigh and english. I noticed about half way throught the ride that a familiar looking face got on the bus in the front seat. So this story makes sense... for about over a year all the missionaries have received warnings of a man who travels through Mexico and Central America and South America assaulting missionaries... long story short, he´s wanted for many things all over the world. So I thought it looked like him, when he got on the bus, and I got my camera out to take secret pics of him so I could be sure. Every time the bus stopped I used the zoom on my camera to take a pic of his face in the tiny mirror in the front of the bus. Turns out that this same day there were manifestations in the highway, so we all had to get out and walk through the protests till we reached the other buses waiting on the other side. We walked swiftly to get on another bus before the bad guy so we could take pics out the back of the bus to get a good look at him. As he approached I took pics out the back door, and elder muse out the front, and as he got closer to the bus, he went to the front to enter, and we dashed out the back and waiting, hiding behind a hill, until a new bus came so we could be on a different one than him. It was pretty movie like.. ha-ha, at least I for sure felt like I was in a movie. But don’t worry everyone is fine, and we notified the mission that we had seen the guy.

Consider yourselves lucky that I even shared this cool story with you before coming home, ha-ha.

The baptism of Sandra Christian and Selvin!!!!
Miracle!!!!
I baptized Selvin the youngest kid, E. Amaya baptized Christian and Our Mission Leader Baptized H. Sandra

This is my companion elder Amaya, who comes from the city, but someone would think he came from the jungle, ha-ha, this is his night outfit, super funny, baggy sweats, v-neck cardigan, and tie on beanie.... super chistoso.

E..... Amaya......

I look like a giant next to my twiggy short companion.

This couple is another miracle... The Elders in Santa Ana Huista, E. Richardson and E. Claros found them a week before the husband, Hermano Eleo was going to go away for a while to work in Mexico. I was able to teach the first lesson with them, and the young couple was touched by the message of the restoration and immediately had desires to be married and baptized in the church. Now they have been married, and will be baptized this coming weekend. They are absolutely chosen and have been prepared by heavenly father to accept this gospel.

Pics from last months Zoneleader Conference in Xela

And tomorrow there are changes.... But I don’t have them!!!! Wahooo!!! That means almost guaranteed I’m going to stay in this area until the end of my mission until may!!!! Wahoo!!!!
