We are sooooooooo blessed.

Live the life you have, be thankful for it, and do what you can with it to share the endless blessings we have received with everyone else around you.

What happens when you ask one of the village kids to take your picture, hahahaha

This is the picture he took after I showed him how to use the camera, haha. We spent like 45 minutes one night cutting milpa for a nonmember with the good old machete. I’d do it every day, cause it’s like real life fruit ninja.

The Indiana Jones Bridge that’s in mi area. There were no buses because of the dias de los sanots, which is basically the day of the dead in Guate, so we had to walk to Chiantle through the rainforest camino called the Vega.

Familia!!!!!!!                                                                                               November 4,2013

How is everybody!? Cause Im doin just fine in Guate right now, just livin the life of a missionary in a third world country.

This week was fairly quick, I went on divisions thursday with Elder Browning who is our zone leader from Arizona. We tried our best to confirm 10 fechas for one family. We worked really hard and they all accepted the fecha and said they would come to church. So me and Rivera went to their house Sunday morning at like 8:15 to bring them to church. At first they said they wouldn’t go, then after a lot of persistence we were able to convince the Dad and his two sons. That same morning I helped the daughter of the family carry giant slabs of pine up the mountain to her house..... And I’m not exaggerating when I say mountain.... it’s a legit mountain. She didn’t come to church, but As I was carrying the giant boards on my head up the mountain I could only think of how Jesus walked with a cross nailed to him. So, my two trips of pine tree up the mountain was nothing. I also know that for sacrifices we receive blessings , and I know if we can get this family to come to church they will all be baptized and have a life changing blessing come upon them.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about blessing, seeing as it November, the month of thanks. We celebrate one day a year for all the things we are thankful for... one day. We are sooooooooo blessed, I promise you no matter what problems you are having right now, you have blessings too! Search for the blessings, just open your eyes, because they are right in front of you. And never forget that this life is a gift, a gift that we have just begun to open, as we continue to unwrap it, we will find that it’s a never ending space full of blessing and gifts from our Heavenly Father. Live the life you have, be thankful for it, and do what you can with it to share the endless blessings we have received with everyone else around you.

Solo quiero terminar y decir, Feliz Cumpleaños Tanner!!!! I will be thinking of you on the 10th of November, and Ill be sending you a late birthday present, next week!

One of our investigators just happens to have a pet hawk.

They feed him chickens, and he is tied to a log, because if he flies off he eats all the chickens in the village.

Have you put up the tree yet!?, Cause I just put mine up last night!
