Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good.

The pants I am wearing in this pick are from Todos Santos, I call this my Guatemala Traje. Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good. There is a whole colony of people who where these pants every single day! They have a sweet jacket too that I want to buy, haha. Its from a place called todos santos, which is like another hour above where I live in the mountains.  There are so many different types of typico clothing here that is puro guatemala!

                                                     My guatemala Family!

Hola mi gran familia!                                                                                 Nov. 11, 2013

How is errrrrybody! Im doin great just livin the life down here on the equator, but it feels like I live in the North Pole! Why is it soooo cold here!? I literally wake up, walk out my door, and sit on the coldest toilet seat I have ever sat on in my entire life.... I’m lucky I don’t get frostbite from that thing.

Things are going great in my land of Quilinco. WE are workng really really hard, and I am super super tired. Like this morning as we rode down on the bus, I fell asleep while riding on the ladder on the back of the bus. But, though I am super tired, I am super happy yo. I know we are working hard, and even though we don’t see success every week or month, I feel accomplished because I know we are working hard, and doing our best.

Haha, you know whats great about my area, if you are ever walkin and you get the urge to go, ya know like ir al Baño. All the bathrooms are like little porta-potties, without roofs and doors, so it’s almost better to just find a nice spot in the Rainforest or in the cornfield. Squat down and empty out the days lunch : ) I have had some great bathroom experiences, haha.

We walked to a different mountain the other day, I really wonder how many miles we walk a day, cause this mountain was forever a way. We were searching for a family, and to find them we asked a new house how to get there every five minutes. It’s so funny to listen to the people who live here give directions. They say somehting like, primera, alli, y despues alla y despues arriba, abajo la casa de so and so, arriba, atras, mas alli, y despues va a ver un piedra grande y despues la piedra, es la casa arriba.
Basically in english all they are saying is, first you go over there, then there, and then more that way and take a turn, then more up and down there, you will see the house more over there. While they are talking they are flailing there hand up and down, left and right, and pointing directions with there lips, haha.

I didn’t get changes this week, so that means at the least I will be in Quilinco for 4 more weeks, and if not 4 for like 10 more. But I’m stoked about it, and just want to live it up while I can in Quilinco. Like Yoso, right?

Gringo in the Ruins - As we were hiking through the mountains we passed through the ruinas nuevamente. Son pequeños, pero todavia calidad

Reading El Libro de Mormon, in a place where it could have been written, pretty cool.

I am super happy yo, and even though we don't see success every week or month, I feel accomplished because I know we are working hard, and doing our best.
