If you know your purpose, if you know why you are here... nothing else matters.

Finally Happened, we baptized our eternal investigator!

In this picture, is Hermano Villencio, Hermana Telma, who is the mom of Jessica, Me, Jessica, Hermana Lorenza or Mama Lencha, hermano jose teo, and my comp Elder Caquiamarca.

It feels so good to feel like you have acomplished something, and really helped someone out. Jessica is a proud new member de la Iglesia De Jesús Cristo De Los Santos De Los Ultimas Dias. Tiodoro, the past bolo from Chiantla was also baptized that very same night. I dont know what to say other than I am just really happy, and feel like this is just the start of great things in my village of Quilinco. I know that in this year the 30 members in the church will doublé, and I am excited and thankful to play a part in the growth of the gospel here in Quilinco.

Yo, what up todos!                                                                           September 30,2013

Finally Happened, we baptized our eternal investigator! I have never felt more happy or accomplished, and I know that Heavenly Father is 100 times happier than me. Never give up on your investigadores, I remember my first week here, and my comp. told me he didn’t want to visit this family because they didn’t want anything, I just wanted a chance to try, and look what happened. I promise every missionary that there are people waiting and ready to hear the gospel from you right now, and they may not be ready the next week or the week after, so get out there and find these people. Give them the opportunity they need and deserve, to accept El Evangelio de Jesús Cristo.

Ok, so what happened this week.... we had the baptism!  Definitely the best day of my misión so far. And I truly believe that Jessica will set an example for her mom, and Telma también will be baptized this month- not official, but I know its possible. It was a beautiful week with lots of sun, and heat. I needed a break from the rainy days, so it was good. My comp leaves tomorrow, and I will get a new one, not gonna lie, I’m a Little nervous, but for every new change in the misión that I have been nervous for, they all turned out good, and new things become normal within a week. We have a lot of positive investigadores in our área, so I hope with a new comp, who takes the misión a Little more serious we can really help out the people in Quilinco. I’m prayin for somebody who can really be a guide and aid in my life, and the lives of the investigadores in Quilinco. Glad to hear things are going good back home. October, and November are always the fastest months of the year, and before we know it, December is going to come around the corner. Hey, cool fact. Two days ago, the day of our baptism. was exactly 4 months from when I left my home in Bountiful. So it took 4 months to get a baptism, but in those 4 months I know that we helped more people than we actually know. You can be an influence in everyone’s lives. Just listen, look, and ponder, and you will find muchas oportunidades a ayudar personas. You can’t trade this opportunity for anything, there is nothing greater, and nothing more worth while that you could be doing with your life somewhere else. Share the greatest gift in the world, the gift of the Gospel.

Flying a homemade kite in the calle. All the kids here have one. They are made out of plastic, of a trashbag or whatever, sticks, and string, super awesome.

Rio San Juan with my comp, haha, somethings in Guatemala I just dont understand... the language, and why they have photobooths with tigers and horses at all the tourist attractions.

They have pink and purple chickens here..... hmmmm.... not sure what to think about that.

Latino Corn, and Gringo Corn, hahaha

This week, I made papas fritas for the family that always makes us almuerzo, I thought we should give them something special seeing as its the last week of my comp.

When I get home I am going to make homemade frenchfries all the time. They are soooooo good!!!

The summer suns of Guat, los colores de verano. They call them that but its not even summer, haha its Winter here, and its cold.

The sunsets in Quilinco have been amazing lately, In my 4 months in Guatemala this was my first sunset, usually its pure clouds and lightning in the distance, but this week was special.
