The Most Amazing Convert Ever

Hermano Kevin Torres was Baptized!! Wow, he is the most amazing convert ever. He has such a strong testimony and he progressed so fast. He shared his testimony after his baptism saying, "Many people have asked, why are you doing this, you should wait a little longer to make a decision before being baptized.... But I always tell them, it’s because I am ready, I feel the desire, and the Spirit lets me know that this is the right thing to do." He is the only member of his immediate family. He has an aunt who is a member and a few cousins, but they live in a different ward. His family was very kind, and supported Kevin in his decision. They don’t go to any church right now, and something the mom, Hermana Elsa mentioned to us the other day, made me really happy, she said... as we explaining how pilas and how ready Kevin was... Well thanks to you two elders who bring the Spirit with you, Kevin has changed and has become ready and prepared to live this Gospel. If we don’t teach with the Spirit, we may as well not teach at all...

The baptismal service was really spiritual, I got to sing "Venid a mi" acapela, and Kevin´s testimony was amazing.

Kevin and his Friends. The 3 on his right aren´t members. Kevin invited many nonmember friends to his baptism, and he wanted to give them all a book a Mormon, because he told us, the people just don’t understand what we feel, because they haven´t read, I want them to feel what I am feeling. His friend in the blue on the right, is the returned missionary form Xela that invited him to church in Xela one weekend. Because of that invitation Kevin progressed and was baptized, and now has the desire to endure to the end. It’s so easy to do missionary work... Just INVITE others and HELP them to come unto Christ, by simply inviting them to church. It couldn´t be any more simple.

My Comp, Kevin, and I

We had a primary mission activity this Saturday, all the primary kids received futuro misionero placas and we went to visit our family of investigators who have 3 kids in the primary, it was really great and the investigators loved the visit as well. They will be baptized with their mom on the 11 of Abril

In the front row on the right is Selvin, he is one of our recent converts, and the tie he´s wearing is my tie, ha-ha. Also little girl to the right of Stefani, the lady in the purple, is Brisnita, I also baptized her last November. Her mom is the lady on the far right, Hermana Brisna.

We went to take pictures in the graveyard today. We found a members tomb, with the picture of the Xela Temple on it.

This family, the familia Estrada made us a huge plate of pupusas today, ohhhh!!! soooooo tasty!!!!! YUMMMMMM!!!!

Mi Compa de Honduras.... He has changes, he has now finished his training and is headed to a new area. I will be finishing my mission training a new elder for 6 weeks, I’m super excited about it, tomorrow I find out where he´s from.

I hope you like the pic I sent of this Chucho... no, he´s not dead, he´s just sleeping, he usually walks around the Colotenango Bridge, I had to take a pic of him. Hay que cuidar a los Perros
